The variety of plant life was fascinating. We saw cattails, ferns, and wildflowers.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
My favorite were these attractive pink flowers on long woody stems.
 
They were scattered all through the large clearing, and also appeared on each side of the path on the north side of the glen.

The nature trail ends at a T-junction. A path goes off to the right toward the new trailhead and parking lot off Penfield Road near Gentle's farm market. We took the left trail to get back to the first waterfall, the tunnel and our car.


Andy and I plan to come back again in the fall when the leaves are turning.
